This is the first challenge coin design made by (Ret) Lt. He made it in 1978, for his 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne) unit, as a parting gift to his troops/members upon his retirement from the Army. This/his original 20th SFGA challenge coin design still lives on today, but this one is an actual real deal for the collector. You will see many early challenge coins with the combination of JLR and DKP on them. It is 1 5/8 inches in diameter. It has serial number 0409 on the edge.
